Edwardian splendour!  This sterling silver brides basket is hallmarked Birmingham 1911, from the silversmith Henry Matthews of Vittoria Street, Birmingham.

The basket has a reticulated body, a scrolled hinged handle and is monogrammed on one side only: “S” engraved in Script.

6 1/2” (16.5cm) high, 10 3/4” (27.4cm) high to the top of the handle,

6 3/4” (17.2cm) by 4 3/4” (12.1cm).
