English sterling silver Monteith  pedestal bowl, hallmarked Chester 1928.  From the silversmith firm of S. Blanckensee & Son Ltd. of Frederick Street and Great Hampton Street, Birmingham, England.  The elegant bowl rises from a graduated pedestal foot, decorated with a simplified castellated rim.

The bowl is without monograms or presentation engravings.  It would be a lovely wedding / anniversary gift, or a presentation award or trophy.

6” (15.2cm) high, 7 1/2” (19cm) diameter.
