Early 20th century sterling silver pedestal bowl, hallmarked for Sheffield 1917. The trademark of JD over WD in a shield is for James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin) of Sidney Works, Matilda Street, Sheffield, England.

The scale of the pedestal bowl is perfect for potpourri, a rose bowl or a stand for a pillar candle.

The bowl is without monograms or presentation engravings.
