Vintage Franco Lapini silver plate squirrel wine cooler, made in Italy, circa 1970.  The squirrel is complete with realistic glass eyes and his head is hinged, flipping up to accommodate a wine bottle.  It is also a perfect size for cigars.

The silver plating shows minor wear, consistent with age and use.

Franco Lapini established his business in Florence, Italy in 1963.  

14 1/2” (36.8cm) high, 15” (38.1cm) by 7” (17.8cm).
