Victorian sterling silver coffee pot by the silversmith George Angell & Co., hallmarked London 1863.  George Angell was from a prolific multi-generational family of silversmiths with various partnerships of father & son and/or brother over the 19th century.

The body of the coffee pot is a simple baluster shape, exquisitely worked in repose, featuring roses, leaves and scrolls against a stippled background, rising from a simple pedestal foot with a beaded edge.  The elegant handle emulates tracery from Gothic architecture.  The pot has one blank cartouche, suitable for a monogram or presentation engraving.
