Product Description

George III style Victorian era sterling silver soup tureen.  Designed in the Neoclassical tradition of the late 18th century, as popularized by the Adams brothers of Scotland.  Fully hallmarked for London 1899, by the silversmith firm of Fenton Brothers Ltd. of South Moor Works, Sheffield.

The tureen rises from a pedestal foot with ribbed vertical fluting on the lower register of the body and the cover, with graceful reed form handles.

14 1/4” (36.2cm) by 7 3/4” (19.7cm), 10” (25.4cm) high.
