German Hanau silver mounted decanter, circa 1900.  The collar is decorated with a band of floral festoons between baskets against a stippled background, on a cut and etched glass body of an overall design of interlocking foliate scrolls.

The silver collar is marked 800 (800 Fine Silver) and has the crescent moon  and crown mark (the German State mark for silver) and Germany stamped in English, suggesting that the decanter  was made for export.
