Grimwades Winton earthenware jardiniere, dynamically decorated with black and white vertical stripes and a frieze of red roses and mauve lilacs in bloom. Made by Grimwades Limited, Winton Elgin and Pottery Works, Stoke on Trent, England, circa 1910-20.  The rim has one small hairline crack, approximately 1 1/2” long, visible only from the inside. The glaze has worn on the inside bottom which allows water to "sweat" through to the outside of the bottom. The best use would be for dried flowers or a potted plant that is within another container that is put inside the jardiniere.
