Product Description
Antique 800 Fine Silver Etrog box, made in Germany, circa 1900. The elegant egg form box is raised on scrolled feet and the hinged cover opens to show the original interior gilding is intact. From the silversmith firm of H. Meyen & Co., of Berlin, Germany, in business circa 1846-1950. The box is identified with the crescent moon and crown mark (partially rubbed) used in Germany post 1886, 800 (the grade of silver) and the profile of a person looking left, the trademark of H. Meyen & Co. 5 1/2” (14cm) by 4 3/4” (12.1cm), 4 1/4” (10.8cm) high.
