Product Description

Georgian style sterling silver tea set, English hallmarked for Sheffield 1945.  From the prolific silversmiths Harrison Brothers & Howson (George Howson) of Norfolk and Carver Streets, Sheffield, England.  The firm was established in 1808 and evolved through numerous partnerships; in business until taken over by Viners Ltd. in 1959.  The early Georgian inspired design features hand engraved floral scrolls framing a cartouche, blank on one side and monogrammed with the letter “G” in Script on the reverse.  The three piece set is in good condition with very minor wear only, consistent with age and use.

The teapot is 5 1/4” (13.3cm) high at the finial, 10 1/4” (26cm) across the spout to handle.
