800 Fine Silver jewellery box, ornately decorated with frolicking putti on the cover and the sides, Italy, early 20th century. Oval in form with gilding on the interior lid. There is a blank cartouche on both the front and back, suitable for a monogram or presentation engraving.
Impressed stamp on the base: KREMOS ROMA 800. Kremos is a silversmith company established in 1881 in Naples by Greek immigrants, Demetrios Kremos and Soltirios Bulgari. By 1884 they had relocated to Rome and the partnership ended, with Bulgari going out on his own.
