Art Nouveau sterling silver box, made by Gorham Mfg. Co. of Providence RI., dated 1895. Decorated all over with multiple blooming flowers in repousse work, with two cartouches on the side, one is blank and the other is engraved in a floral Script, likely “MP”. The interior has the original gold wash in excellent condition.
Marked on the bottom: Gorham company symbol, crescent moon (which is the Gorham date cypher for 1895), 735 (likely a design reference number) and STERLING.
