Substantial sterling silver jewellery box, from Birks of Montreal, circa 1920.
The jewel box is of a simple shape, with a finely decorated lid. The central cartouche frames the initials “LP” engraved in script, with engine turned engraving (guilloche) filling the space to the chased floral border.
The original pale blue-green velvet lining is intact, showing only minor wear. The internal fitted tray lifts out to offer more storage below.
The original key is included and the lock is in working condition.
