Edwardian Sterling Silver Heart Shaped Jewellery Box

Heart shaped sterling silver jewellery box, English hallmarks for Birmingham 1910, made by the silversmith firm of Synyer & Beddoes (Harry Synyer & Charles Joseph Beddoes) in business circa 1897-1949, located on Vyse Street, Birmingham, England.  The hinged box is in the shape of a heart, with stripes of engine turned engraving, highlighting that the central roundel is without monograms.  The inside of the lid is gold washed and the interior is fitted with the original green velvet lining.  The box is raised on three graceful, stylized feet.

1 7/8” (4.8cm) by 2 1/4” (5.7cm), 1 1/2” (3.8cm) high.
