Edwardian Sterling Silver Jewellery Box Dated 1913

Product Details

Sterling silver jewellery box, English hallmarks for Birmingham 1913, made by the silversmith firm of Jones & Crompton (Edward Samuel Jones & Hubert Crompton), in business circa 1899-1932, located on Spencer Street and Harford Street, Birmingham, England.  

The oval hinged box is decorated with swags of stylized bell flowers framing a script monogram of “DJB”.  The interior is fitted with the original pink satin lining and the box is raised on four stylized claw feet.  Wear consistent with age and use.

3 1/4” (8.3cm) by 2 3/4” (7cm), 1 5/8” (4.1cm) high.
