English Art Deco Enamel, Sterling Silver & Crystal Dresser Jar

English Art Deco enamelled sterling silver dresser jar, hallmarked Birmingham 1929.  Made by Henry Matthews of Vittoria Street, Birmingham, in business circa 1893-1930.  The cover is beautifully guilloche enamelled in yellow with a black border and monogram, possibly “CW”.  The side of the cover is further monogrammed “MJW”.  The wheel cut crystal jar is decorated with alternating panels of daisies.

2 7/8” (7.3cm) high, 4” (10.2cm) diameter.
