English Sterling Silver Box, Birmingham 1927

English sterling silver box with cedar lining.  A handsome desk or dressing table box, for him or her.  Fully hallmarked for London 1927, made by Walker & Hall of Electro Works, Sheffield, England.  The box is finished with finely striped engine turned engraving on all four sides and the hinged cover, with embellished floral cast bands at the top and bottom perimeters.  The box features a hidden / flush hinge and the lid is monogrammed with the letter “K” in Old English font.  The box is in very good condition.
