English Sterling Silver Dresser Box Dated 1911

English sterling silver dresser jar, hallmarked for Birmingham 1911.  From the silversmiths Thomas Latham & Ernest Morton of Vyse Street, Birmingham, England.

The elegantly simple box is oval, ornamented only with a reeded edge rim and floral flourishes on the stylized claw feet.  The interior is lined with dark purple velvet.

The box does not have monograms or presentation engravings.

3 5/8” (9.2cm) by 3 1/8”(8cm), 2” (5.1cm) high.  The top is slightly domed.
