English Sterling Silver & Hand Blown Glass Dresser Jar Dated 1911

English sterling silver and hand blown glass dresser/powder jar.  Hallmarked Birmingham 1911, from the prolific silversmiths William Hutton & Sons Ltd., of West Street, Sheffield, Hanley Street, Birmingham and Farringdon Road, England.  The cover is ornately decorated with a scrolling foliate design, framing a central roundel monogrammed with a “M”.  The gently lobed glass jar has a starburst cut base.

5 1/2” (14cm) diameter, 3 3/4” (9.5cm) high.  The top is slightly domed.
