Italian 800 Fine Silver Box

A very handsome 800 Fine Silver box, made in Italy.  The box has finely textured engine turned engraving on the top and all four sides, with the lid nicely framed with a gadroon edge rim.  The entire length of the back of the box has an hidden hinge, finely engineered to blend in with the  design of the engine turned finish.

The box was has impressed marks in a lozenge shape, used in Italy circa 1944-68.

The box is an ideal size for a pen box or to present / store important bracelets.
