Victorian Amethyst and Pearl Luckenbooth Brooch

This Victorian brooch features two intertwined hearts that is a stylized version of a Luckenbooth brooch. The traditonal Luckenbooth design is of two entwined heart with a crown above which dates back to the 15th century. On this brooch, each heart is made of polished cabochon amethysts. Surrounding the amethysts are split pearls. Instead of a crown, there a bow with inlaid pearls that sits on top of the two hearts. The whole piece is set in .900 grade silver. It would make a very romantic gift.
