Victorian Seed Pearl Locket Pendant

A beautiful Victorian seed pearl locket made in 18kt. tricolour gold. The oval locket is set with 3 seed pearls measuring approximately 2.7 - 3.0mm. They are of white colour with silvery grey overtones. The pearls have luster, colour distribution and blemishes. The locket has a filigree design with partial wreath like motif at the top and bottom. The exterior of the locket measures approx. from the top of bail  2.25 (2 1/4) inches (6.45cm) long X 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm( widest). Inside the locket is a bevelled glass cover set within a hinged frame. The interior compartment is approx. 1.25 (1 1/4) inches (3.18cm) long X 1 inch (2.54cm) widest. Approximate weight of the locket is 17.6gm.
