Exuberantly decorated early Victorian sterling silver four piece tea set, hallmarked for London 1846. From the prolific multi-generational family of silversmiths, Joseph II & Albert Savory. The set is decorated with raised floral motifs and S and C scrolls, reminiscent of Rococo silver work. The tea and coffee pots have finials depicting eagles in flight. The cream jug and sugar bowl interiors have the original gilding. The set is without monograms or presentation engravings. The teapot is 7 1/4” (18.4cm) high. The coffee pot is 10 1/2” (26.7cm) high. 2533.3 grams total weight. $9900 for the four piece set.
