Hand painted Meissen chocolate set, hand painted with roses, late 19th century.

The set is exquisitely painted with rosebuds and blooms, including the lid finial which is in itself a flower bloom.  The handles are swan necks, starting with feathers at the bottom and terminating with the swan’s beak grasping the pot and cups.

The set has one tiny nick on the spout, wear consistent with age and use.

The chocolate pot is 10” (25.4cm) high.

The cup is 4” (10.2cm) high, the saucer is 5 3/8” (13.7cm) diameter.
