Moorcroft Poppy pattern vase, introduced in 1923. Sometimes referred to as the Big Poppy design, it was one of at least 10 designs produced in the 1920s featuring large scale flowers.
The vase is decorated with multiple tube lined poppy blossoms in coloured glazes of reds, cream, purple and greens against a dark blue ground.
The impressed factory mark and painted signature for William Moorcroft are on the bottom of the vase.
14 1/4” (36.2cm) high, 9” (22.9cm) diameter.
