Art Nouveau Orfevrerie Gallia (Christofle) * silver plate vases, circa 1910-15.  The vases are decorated with a repeating pattern of stylized flowers in bloom, perhaps columbine, with a soft, satin finish.  Model number 4780.

* The company Orfevrerie Gallia started as Manufacture de L’Alfenide, being acquired by Christofle as early as 1888.  Christofle continued to own the company but ran it under its own brand label.  The trademark is a goat head in a rhombus, above a Gallic cock in a coat of arms style shield.  The wording Orfevrerie Gallia was added to this mark in the time period 1909-28.

The grand hotel Le Ritz in Paris and the legendary luxury train the Orient Express were equipped with Orfevrerie Gallia flatware.
