Vintage Italian porcelain centrepiece bowl decorated with butterflies, made by Porcellane D’Arte (Porcelain Art) Ermete Agostinelli. Ermete opened his porcelain factory in Bassano (near Venice) Italy in 1955. The oval pedestal bowl is decorated with multi-colour butterflies, flying just below a gilded trailing ivy. The naturalistic design is reminiscent of Herend porcelain patterns Queen Victoria or Rothschild Bird. The inside of the bowl is glazed and undecorated, so it is suitable for food. 9 1/2” (24.1cm) by 7 1/4” (18.4cm), 4 1/2” (11.4cm) high.
