Product Description

William IV sterling silver teapot, hallmarked London 1836.  This cannon ball shaped teapot was made by the prestigious multi-generation silversmithing family of Garrard.    This teapot is R & S Garrard (brothers Robert and Sebastian), of Panton Street, London.

The elegantly simple round teapot is raised on four bracket feet and the only ornamental device is the rose bud finial.  The internal shot shows the hammer marks indicating that the teapot was raised from a single sheet of silver.

The teapot has an armorial crest on one side with the arm of a knight holding a dagger, pointed down, or inward. 

6 1/2” (16.5cm) high, 9” (22.9cm) across the spout to handle.
