Product Description

Stunning Renaissance inspired blue and white oval platter, “Teutonic” pattern by Brown-Westhead, Moore & Co. of Cauldon Place, Hanley.  The pattern was introduced in the 1880s and was made into the early 20th century.  B-W, M & Co. was taken over by Cauldon Potteries Ltd. in 1920 and this is one of the patterns for which production was continued.  Underneath the Victorian era B-W, M. & Co. backstamp is “Made in England” dating this piece after 1921.  The Cauldon name is also impressed on the back.
