Sterling silver tea tray, Roden Brothers, Toronto, circa 1940-50.  The Georgian inspired oval tray is intricately hand engraved with stylized floral scrolling, framing a large central blank cartouche suitable for a monogram or presentation engraving.  The gently shaped border is reminiscent of melon / gourd shaped tea sets, an ever popular design over the last two centuries, complete with shell form handles.
