Antique Samson” Mansion House” Dwarf *, painted in pink and green, standing on a grassy knoll.  The figures were modelled after dwarves who wore lavish clothing and large brim hats to be noticed.

The trademark is a Derby type trademark, possibly Samson imitating Regency era Derby, circa 1890.

*The Mansion House dwarves were based on a father and son duo who sold advertising on their hats in the Tudor era.  Royal Crown Derby first modelled the figures in the 1780s.
