Product Description

Sheffield plate telescopic candlesticks, English circa 1820-40.  This handsome pair of candlesticks feature a repeating egg and dart pattern on the rims and edges.  There is a maker’s mark on the outer rim of the bases, R.C.S. Co over PATENT, as yet unidentified. 

The telescoping function of the candlesticks works well, with some of the copper “bleeding” on the rims.  Wear consistent with age and use.

7 1/2” to 10” (19cm to 25.4cm) high, 4 7/8” (12.4cm) diameter at the base.
