Shiebler sterling silver tea caddy spoon with hammered finish. The pattern is called Medallion (although some sources refer to it as Etruscan), as all the pieces have one or two medallion busts of ancient Greek gods or goddesses. The firm of George W. Shiebler started in 1876 in New York City, incorporating into “& Co.” in 1892 and closing in 1910. This tea caddy spoon is without the Shiebler “& Co.” reference, dating it between 1876 and 1891. It was made for retail by C.W. Kennard & Co. of Boston. 4” (10.2cm) long, 2 1/8” (5.4cm) wide.
