Spode “Blue Italian” large size breakfast cup and saucer. Trademarked: Copeland Spode’s Italian England, with the impressed Copeland trademark and A over 54, dating the pieces as having been potted in April of 1954. The Italian pattern was first introduced in 1816 and produced in different colours. Blue Italian is the most popular colour and has been in production continuously. The over sized cup is a great choice for cafe au lait, or to use as a soup bowl with the deep saucer providing ample room for crackers or a bun. The cup is 3 1/2” (8.9cm) high, 5 1/2” (14cm) diameter. The saucer is 8 5/8” (22cm) diameter. $295 each cup and saucer.
