Assembled sterling silver Queen Anne style bachelor tea and coffee set with Fleming family crest.  The motto “Let The Deed Shaw” (let the deed show), is the motto of the Lowland Scottish Clan Fleming.  *

The teapot is P.W. Ellis Co., Toronto, circa 1895-1900.  5” (12.7cm) high.

The coffee pot is Gorham, Providence RI, dated 1896.  6 3/4” (17.2cm) high.

The cream jug is Sheffield 1894, made by James Deakin & Sons.

The sugar bowl is Birmingham 1897, made by Barker Brothers.

656.1 grams total weight.

* Robert Fleming was granted the fiefdom of Cumbernauld in Dunbartonshire in the 14th century by Robert The Bruce.  Fleming was rewarded for his involvement in the death of John “Red” Comyn, Robert the Bruce’s competition for the throne of Scotland.
