Sterling silver Canadian Manufacturers’ Association trophy, made by Roden Brothers of Toronto, Canada. The Georgian inspired pedestal bowl has an undulating rim, trimmed at the top and base with a gadrooned edge and hinged shell form handles. The presentation bowl / trophy is engraved: Presented to Major L. L. Anthes * in recognition of his services as President 1933-34 Canadian Manufactures’ Association Annual General Meeting Montreal June 7th and 8th 1934 10 1/4” (26cm) diameter at the rim, 7” (17.8cm) high. 1335.0 grams. * Lawrence Lee “Laurie” Anthes (1876-1954) lived in Toronto and served in the Canadian military in WWI as an engineer with the rank of Major.
