Sterling silver picture frame, made by the silversmith firm of Livi Giancarlo of Firenze (Florence) Italy, trademark registered in 1959. The frame has two impressed marks: a star symbol 336 FI. The star symbol dates it post 1970, 336 is the makers mark for Livi Giancarlo and FI is the abbreviation for Firenze / Florence. The second mark is 925, the fineness of silver (sterling). This lovely and versatile picture frame can be positioned vertically or horizontally. The frame has the original dark blue velvet backing and is in good condition. The overall dimensions are 9 1/4” (23.5cm) by 7 1/4” (18.4cm). The internal dimensions are 7” (17.8cm) by 5” (12.7cm).
