Product Description

Antique sterling silver grapefruit spoons, made by Towle Silversmiths of Newburyport, Massachusetts.  The pattern is “Mary Chilton”, design registered in 1912. *

The set of 6 are monogrammed in an Old English font “H”.  The set is in good condition.

6” (15.3cm) long.

$480 for the set of 6.

* The pattern is named in honour of Mary Chilton (1607-1679), a Pilgrim and Mayflower passenger, reportedly the first European born woman to step ashore at Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1620.  She married John Winslow and moved to Boston circa 1653.
