Product Description

Transjo Hytta studio glass bowl, from the Anemon (Anemone in English) series, circa 2000.  Transjo Hytta was started in 1982 by two master glass blowers who trained at Kosta Boda, Jan-Erik Ritzman and Sven-Ake Carlsson.  Ritzman began at Kosta Boda in 1957 and Carlsson in 1972.  In their careers they have demonstrated and taught glass blowing across Europe, Japan and the USA.

Signed with an etched signature on the base:  JR SC (the glass blowers initials) Transjo.

Transjo (Crane Lake in English) is the village where the glass studio is located.

Hytta is Swedish for glass factory.

10” (25.4cm) diameter, 5 7/8” (15cm) high.
