Victorian brass figural desk set, featuring gnomes hard at work; the main gnome handling the inkwell as if it were a wheelbarrow and a pair of gnomes are the columns of the candlesticks emulating the Greek God Atlas. 

The set is unmarked, attributed to England, circa 1880-1890.

The inkwell is 10 1/2” (26.7cm) wide by 9” (22.9cm) deep, 5” (12.7cm) high.

The candlesticks are 7 /2” (19cm) high.

The match box holder is 5” (12.7cm) high.
