Late Victorian Mother of Pearl and silver plate dessert serving set for berries, grapes and nuts. Presented in the original box. English origin, with the registration date (RD NO 226975) on the box dating the set to 1894. The set is comprised of two berry spoons, two nutcrackers and a pair of grape scissors, all in excellent condition. The bowls of the spoons are gold washed, further enhancing the embossed floral design in contrast. The cranberry velvet and satin lining of the box is in pristine condition, while the exterior exhibits some wear from age and handling. The spoons are 9” (22.8cm) long. The box is 10 1/2” (26.6cm) by 9 3/4” (24.8cm), 2” (5.1cm) high.
