Victorian silver plate figural rowing trophy cup, Derby Silver Company of Derby, Connecticut, circa 1875-80.

The cup features a scene of two sailboats racing within a frieze of bright cut engraving, bordered between two bands of roses.  The cup is supported by two pairs of oars framing a gentleman with a raised hat; the victor of the race acknowledging his supporters.
