Victorian stationary box, English 19th century. This beautiful tulip wood veneer box has a domed top, ornate brass mounts and leather harness style studs, giving the overall impression of a medieval chest. The interior is fitted in compartments for papers, envelopes and writing implements.
9 1/4” (23.5cm) by 4 3/4” (12cm), 6 5/8” (16.8cm) high.
Used in the television series adaptation of Dan Brown’s book “The Lost Symbol”.
