Victorian English sterling silver fish servers, hallmarked London 1859.

This substantial pair of fish servers are in the “Fiddle & Thread” pattern, an English  classic design originating in the Georgian era.

The tines of the fork are embellished with engraved scroll work, both front and back.  The pierced blade slice is decorated with engraved scrolls on the front only, providing a frame to the highly detailed fish.

The makers mark is partially rubbed with age and not easily distinguishable.

The fork is 10 1/4” (26cm) long.

The slice is 13” (33cm) long.
