Victorian sterling silver heart shaped mirror, hallmarked for London 1895, from the silversmiths William Comyns & Sons, Beak Street, London.

The embossed silver frame is exuberantly decorated with love birds, masks and roses, with scrolling against a trellis background.  The original beveled glass mirror is intact, with minor discolouration to the silvering.  The red cloth backing is also the original, wear consistent with age and use.  

The cartouche at the top of the frame is engraved EHP in script.  

11” (28cm) high, 9 3/8” (23.8cm) wide.
