Product CodeVICWAGTS5851
Product NameVictorian Tea Service, circa 1860-80
Product Description

Victorian white and gold china tea service, English, circa 1860-80.  This handsome set is simple in shape and form, with the exception of the stylized acanthus leaf rim and the elaborate spout, highlighted by gilding.  Marked “e over 2041” painted in red, most likely a pattern number.

The set consists of a teapot, cream jug, covered sugar bowl and 8 teacups and saucers.  One of the saucers has a small chip and one has a small internal crack, otherwise in remarkably good condition for its age.  Wear consistent with age and use.

The teapot is 7 1/2” (19cm) high at the finial.

The teacup is 2” (5.1cm) high, 3 1/8” (8cm) diameter.

The saucer is 5 1/2” (14cm) diameter.

$595 for the set.
