Mid-Century Brutalist Design Emerald and Diamond Ring
A custom made Mid-Century Brutalist Design 14kt yellow gold ring that features irregularly spaced, 1 deep green emerald, est. 1.42ct; 4 round brilliant cut diamonds, est. 1.50ct (clarity:SI2-I1 & J-K colour); 8 round brilliant cut diamonds, est. 0.45ct (clarity:I1-I2 & H-I-J colour) and 2 deep green emeralds, est. 0.16ct. The top of the ring is approx 5/8 inch (0.625cm) x 5/8 inch (0.625cm). The ring is considered to be a Brutalist design or influenced by that Era, because of its uniqueness and "rough" finish.
"The term Brutalism originally applied to a type of roughly finished, monolithic architecture originating in the mid 20th century, but has since been applied to jewelry as well. ... The hallmark of Modernism is uniqueness; most exceptional pieces of Modernist jewelry are one-of-a-kind creations."
