Vintage Italian Sommerso vase in purple glass cased in blue glass, and further encased in a clear glass block.  Murano, Italy circa 1960s.

Sommerso is the Italian for “submerged”, referencing the multiple colour layers within the glass.

10 5/8” (27cm) high, 3 1/2” (9cm) by 2 1/4” (5.7cm).
