Most unusual!  A vintage forged iron cross, decorated with Mustad * iron horseshoe nails and a glass “jewel” in the center. 

12 1/4” (31.1cm) high, 7 5/8” (19.4cm) wide.

 

* Mustad was established in 1832 in Norway.  The Mustad company started with the production of nails and steel wire, branching out to horseshoe nails, fishing hooks and tackle by 1877.  By the 1920s Mustad led the horseshoe nail production in Europe.  Still in business; Mustad offers 20 varieties of horseshoe nails to this day.
