A very pretty vintage peridot and pearl lavalier necklace made in 14kt. yellow gold. The necklace is set with 1 pear facetted cut peridot (Clarity: LI / Colour: Medium Intense Lime Green with Yellow) weighing approximately 1.52ct. The necklace is also set with 68 seed pearls (Colour: Rose Silvery-Grey Silver) which measure between 1.0 - 1.5 - 2.1mm. The necklace is approximately 16in or 40.64cm in length and weighs approximately 8.8gm. Per Wikipedia "A lavalier or lavaliere or lavalliere is an item of jewellery consisting of a pendant, sometimes with one stone, pendulous and centered from a necklace. The style was popularized by the Duchesse de la Vallière, a mistress of King Louis XIV of France.
